The region of Ticino, and more generally the Insubric area, is geographically separated from major urban centers, but despite this, projects related to digital liberties sometimes take root here as well. To launch the South Alps CCC hacklab, we will organize an event focused on knowledge exchange, horizontal knowledge dissemination, and opportunities for networking. The main themes will concern anonymity, decentralization of power and authority, approaches to technology, digital independence, and cyber rights. The guiding perspective takes a critical approach to technology, aiming to develop an analysis of the impact of new computational techniques that can help ensure certain individual freedoms. The first part of the event will consist of a series of talks, likely held at the University of Lugano. Toward the end of the first day, we will move to Gandria to conclude the event together in a more community-oriented social setting.
